Visiting Nephews from Surabaya
I'm not very close with relatives from my dad's side. But recently got to meet up with a whole lot of them. I always knew that my indon roots are from my mom's side but didn't realise that relatives from my dad's side are also indonesian... from the Riau Islands - Tanjong Balai, Pekan Bahru (yikes! RSAF training ground), Tanjong Pinang, Batam etc etc.
So apparently my 'roots' are deeper than I thought they were.
Check out my 2 nephews from Surabaya visiting Singapore for Chinese New Year - the older one is Bryan who studies in an international school and Jason who is just this energetic kid with a strong Surabayan slang.
